We are a family of animal lovers in Kingston, Ontario, CANADA.
As a family our decision to embark on breeding these wonderful Chinese Cresteds is purely based on our love of the breed. We want to express to you that this is not an essential income for us. Professionally, I have a fulfilling career working for the federal government. Breeding is done for the love of it and to offer healthy pups to stable and loving homes. This could be referred to as a hobby but make no mistake it is not an undertaking we take lightly! I believe if you are going to do something, do it well and do it right. That is why I was so peticular on the dogs we have started with. We are not big breeders and never intend to be. We just would like to share with others the enjoyment we have found with the Chinese Crested Dog.
Working in an often high stress environment I feel our dogs are our sanctuary at the end of the day. It is true what they say about the mental health benefits of having a dog. No matter how stressful your day was, when you come home and your doggies are so happy to see you, it melts your heart and all your worries fade away. And no dog can do that quite like a Chinese Crested can!
For several years we have watched this breed since we first saw them compete in the Westminster Kennel Club shows. We never thought we would actually own one since we already had large breed dogs. We just assumed that they would not be a good fit. Still I could not help myself to look them up online from time to time. Inevitably one day I came across a beautiful female and I just had to have her. By April 1st of 2007 we had our first Chinese Crested, London.
London has fit into our household so easily and was immediately accepted by our pack. She has brought such joy & laughter into our lives. Always a ham and showing off, we could laugh at her antics for hours!
Then one day I couldn't help myself and started looking up Crested puppies again. Low and behold I found this gorgeous little boy! It didn't take long before Stryker was brought home to join the family.
Stryker and London hit it off famously! We never imagined that having two Cresteds would be so much fun....they are a BLAST! If we thought London alone was hilarious to watch, these two together were 10x more fun!!!
We are committed to the health and welfare of this breed and insist on health testing. We understand it is imperitive that dogs be screened for genetic diseases such as PRA-PRCD prior to breeding to ensure healthy offspring for years to come.
